Job Description:

Bookkeeper

A Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of an organization. This role ensures that all financial data is recorded correctly and that reports are prepared in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
Assist with payroll processing.
Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Prepare documentation for audits.
Assist accountants and management with financial analysis and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
